Tosca the Rottweiler

Zuva has had the chance to get to know two dogs (a Corgi and a Rottweiler) and a cat, as we have been house sitting for some friends for the last month. They are getting along like a house on fire . . .

A total food experience

I never could figure out why parents thought that their kids looked cute with food all over their face, but now that Zuva is enjoying her first food experience, in a whole body way, I am humbled. . .

This was the result of a blend of Watermelon, Plum and Blueberries :)

The first time I posted this picture it didn't work, so if you are reading this blurb, it's because all the fine words I wrote the first time got lost, and this is all I could think of to say ;-)

Zuva wakes up happy and gives us hours of entertainment through the day. She's a gift, and we are deeply grateful! 

A happy baby

We feel so blessed. Zuva has been such a happy baby. At the moment she is been waking up at 5:30 and giggling, smiling, and talking away to . . . hhhmmm, not us - we have our eyes closed trying to catch a few more zzzzz's. 

The Santa Parade

There was a "float" actually we walked down the street, representing the Community Garden and the Waiheke Seedsavers group. Zuva went as a carrot and stole the show :)

It was a warm and sunny last day of September, and since we were all in and out of the water, I figured why not Zuva. So she got her bum wet and seemed quite happy about it all.

When Kim walked into the Yurt with Zuva this afternoon, dressed in her summer's best, my heart lept with joy at seeing her look so totally gorgeous. What a funny business this parenting gig is. Full of surprises.
